TE Connectivity's (TE) LITEFORCE is a new terminal receptacle contact technology that addresses the challenge of high mating forces associated with high pin count connectors.

Our LITEFORCE technology is a new terminal design that helps address the conflict between technological requirements and automotive assembly line worker’s health. TE's LITEFORCE technology incorporates an innovative “wave-form” contact geometry that ensures that mechanical pressure is applied exactly on the points where the highest current rating can be achieved. Unlike traditional contact geometries, TE's LITEFORCE technology wave structure includes a multiple contact point structure with additional redundant contact points that ensure the optimum current transmission is achieved even during high vibration. That means the spring beams applying mechanical pressure on the contact zone can be reduced in thickness thus reducing the overall mating force required. Alternatively, with no alternation to the beams, current capacity and vibration resistance can be significantly increased,
