Fewer laundry day blues
Washer and dryer OEMs rely on the best connectivity solutions. TE’s connectors, sensors, relays and tubing products meet their most demanding design requirements.
User interfaces and modes of operation are becoming more feature-rich; clothing care improves and all of these benefits are offered using less energy than previous models. TE offers high-density connector systems and a broad range of relays, sensors and protective components to allow migration to smaller sizes as power requirements decrease.
The wiring harness interconnects the control board to the various components throughout the washer or dryer, such as motors, heating elements, water pumps and valves, sensors, door locks, etc. A typical wiring harness would include power and signal connectors, terminals and splices, heat shrink tubing and labels.
Economy Power (EP) Connector
Economy Power (EP) II and EP 2.5 connectors offer two levels of mechanical and electrical reliability. A true locking latch prevents the plug housing and post header from vibrating apart. An optional Terminal Position Assurance (TPA) device helps assure terminal seating.
Signal Double Lock (SDL) Connector
The signal double lock (SDL) connector system consists of plug and cap housings for wire termination, optional double lock plates, crimp contacts and PC board pin headers in both standard and high profile versions.
Power Double Lock (PDL) Connector
Power double lock (PDL) connectors are available in wire-to-wire and wire-to-board configurations. This connector system consists of plug and cap housings for wire termination, optional double lock plates, crimp contacts and PC board pin headers.
Single Wall Heat-Shrinkable Tubing
Single wall heat-shrinkable tubing insulates, provide strain relief, and protects against mechanical damage and abrasion. Products range in flexibility from very flexible to semi-rigid and are available in a myriad of colors.
Dual Wall Heat-Shrinkable Tubing
Protect against moisture and corrosion with dual wall tubing, while insulating and providing mechanical protection. During installation, an adhesive or encapsulant lining melts and flows, creating a moisture-resistant protective barrier.
Whether you need to splice 30 AWG solid copper magnet wire or 4/0 stranded aluminum wire, we offer a solution. Choose from crimp, insulation displacement connection (IDC) or other types of splice technology applied manually or with semi- or fully-automated equipment.
RAST Compliant Connectors
Connectors meeting RAST 2.5 and RAST 5 standards are high quality solutions that can help reduce your applied cost while supporting industrial and appliance safety standards. The portfolio includes several sizes, colors, footprint layouts, locking and plating options.
