ELECTRIFYING AIRPORT TECHNOLOGY
We’re using electric power in a revolutionary new way, and saving airlines in fuel costs.
As it taxis, a jetliner’s main engine can consume up to 20 lbs. of fuel per minute, and thousands of dollars. Bad for the bottom line and harmful to our environment.
Our challenge – deliver power to the wheels of a 40-to-100-ton aircraft quickly in a small amount of space. Our engineers worked with the airlines’ engineering team to design Electric Taxi – a cable that moves up to 100 tons on electric power and eliminates traditional taxiing. Clean, cost-efficient. Brilliant.
