Raising our influence as marketers goes beyond having the latest marketing skills, an award-wining campaign or being digitally savvy. It requires a deep understanding of the business. Every marketer works diligently to know and reach their customers, but fewer marketers (and their agency partners) spend enough time getting to know the business as well. This is a big miss.
