The high mating forces of these larger edgeboard connectors are greatly reduced with the use of the low-force twist pins and sockets that are standard for the MCEM MIL-DTL-55302 product line. High Density Standard Module (HDSM) connectors, as well as Microdot Card Edge Metal (MCEM) MIL-DTL-55302 connectors, are frequently used in edgeboard applications due to the use of the low-force twist pins and sockets. The Microdot Center Jack/Metal (MCJ/MCJM) allows for center jack screw coupling. The Microdot Connector Strip (MCS) plastic strip line connector utilizes the same twist pin reliability, but offers ease of design with simple latching and up to 120 contacts.
