Secure RAST 5 Receptacle Housings
The RAST 5 standard defines a connector with 5mm pitch and standard keying, polarization, and locking features. The Positive Lock RAST 5 connector system features receptacle housings meeting the RAST 5 standard and accepting the popular Positive Lock Mark III receptacles. These receptacles offer ergonomic assembly and secure connections due to a positive locking feature that allows for both low insertion force (LIF) and high retention force. The system mates with 6.35 x 0.81 mm tabs containing detent holes that engage the positive locking mechanism. The housings have built in keying and polarization features that are compatible with many components built on the RAST 5 standard, including TE's RAST 5 printed circuit board (PCB) tab headers.
