CoolSplice Connectors are IPx8 rated in-line splices suitable for outdoor applications. Wire termination is done independently by inserting a wire into the end of the connector and pushing down the color coded button with a standard pair of pliers.
CoolSplice connectors elegantly combine reliability with ease of termination. No need for special tooling; a common pair of pliers is used to pushbutton terminate insulated wires into an insulation displacement crimp contact. Suitable for splicing 22 AWG to 12 AWG (0.34 mm2 - 4.0 mm2) solid and stranded wire, the CoolSplice connectors enable an industry proven reliable connection. Wires are terminated independently for ease of use, and this feature allows for factory pre-termination of one wire and field termination of the second during installation.
All CoolSplice connectors offer a gelfilled sealed version of the standard product extending use of CoolSplice into harsh environment applications requiring ingress protection from the elements. A thoughtful design includes a clear body material for visual inspection of the termination and to distinguish between our standard and sealed product.

The CoolSplice connectors are easy to terminate, and suitable for splicing 22 AWG to 18 AWG (0.34 mm2 - 0.75 mm2) solid and stranded wire. Through a push button and Insulation Displacement Technology (IDC), a common pair of pliers is used to terminate insulated wires making special tooling unnecessary and installation easy and fast. The CoolSplice connectors provide a reliable connection visually confirmed through the clear sidewall.
With these connectors, the CoolSplice connector portfolio has been expanded to include connectors suitable for larger wire sizes (18 AWG to 12 AWG (0.75 mm2 - 4.0 mm2)). Red, yellow & blue color coded termination buttons take the guess work out of matching wire size to appropriate connector.
