Refrigerators and freezers
Use our connectors, sensors, relays and tubing products to help keep everything more connected, cold and running efficiently.
Electricity consumption continues to decline even as interior volumes of refrigerators and freezers expand. This requires optimizing insulation materials and design; TE offers connectors that can be foamed in place to reduce assembly time and minimize insulation voids. Additionally, our sensors and relays can help to maintain tight control of the cooling cycle.
The wiring harness interconnects the control board to the various components throughout the refrigerator, such as compressors, temperature control switches, temperature sensors, ice makers, fans, etc. A typical wiring harness would include power and signal connectors, terminals and splices, heat shrink tubing and labels.
Power Triple Lock (PTL) Connector
The power triple lock (PTL) connector system offers high performance with a functional design. From the audible lock to the many added customer benefits, the power triple lock connector system has been specifically developed for better power and signal applications.
Signal Double Lock (SDL) Connector
The signal double lock (SDL) connector system consists of plug and cap housings for wire termination, optional double lock plates, crimp contacts and PC board pin headers in both standard and high profile versions.
Power Double Lock (PDL) Connector
Power double lock (PDL) connectors are available in wire-to-wire and wire-to-board configurations. This connector system consists of plug and cap housings for wire termination, optional double lock plates, crimp contacts and PC board pin headers.
Single Wall Heat-Shrinkable Tubing
Single wall heat-shrinkable tubing insulates, provide strain relief, and protects against mechanical damage and abrasion. Products range in flexibility from very flexible to semi-rigid and are available in a myriad of colors.
Dual Wall Heat-Shrinkable Tubing
Protect against moisture and corrosion with dual wall tubing, while insulating and providing mechanical protection. During installation, an adhesive or encapsulant lining melts and flows, creating a moisture-resistant protective barrier.
Whether you need to splice 30 AWG solid copper magnet wire or 4/0 stranded aluminum wire, we offer a solution. Choose from crimp, insulation displacement connection (IDC) or other types of splice technology applied manually or with semi- or fully-automated equipment.
Speed of application, uniform reliability and low per-line cost. These advantages have made our FASTON connector products the industry leader in appliances. With 60+ years of experience providing quick connects, we constantly strive to introduce new and improved types.
RAST Compliant Connectors
Connectors meeting RAST 2.5 and RAST 5 standards are high quality solutions that can help reduce your applied cost while supporting industrial and appliance safety standards. The portfolio includes several sizes, colors, footprint layouts, locking and plating options.
