Our work is changing how the world connects – down to the molecular level. We’re creating materials that are safer, smarter and greener. We’re using aluminum to replace weaker, heavier metals in the automotive industry and nano-carbon tubes that enable signal delivery with less weight than had ever been possible. And we’re finding new ways to work with existing materials. Through our Advanced Development Labs, we’re exploring technologies several generations out, as we work to develop essential technologies for an increasingly connected world.

DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
We believe innovation happens when people collaborate. Our more than 7,000 engineers – of our approximately 75,000 employees worldwide – are dedicated to working with customers throughout the design process to bring their innovations to life. TE’s global Design Centers and multiple testing facilities help ensure close collaboration from the earliest stages of design. These environments are where we’re creating the sensor and connector solutions our customers need. And our co-located engineers work on-site in our customers’ facilities to help ensure we’re helping them meet their toughest connectivity challenges while envisioning their next generation of products.

Our history includes breakthroughs in connectors, heat-shrinkable tubing, next-generation fiber, and wireless antennas that have created new standards in a wide range of industries. We manufacture in close proximity to our clients and use the most advanced manufacturing innovations available, reducing lead time and making us more responsive. Our proprietary TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) system for manufacturing allows for global breakthroughs and drives a culture of continuous improvement.
