Mixed Media Platform
The Mixed Media Platform is one of a number of platforms forming part of the product portfolio of TE Connectivity's Data Center Solution.
The Mixed Media Platform combines the flexibility and space saving benefits of the Universal Connectivity Platform (UCP) with the innovative cable management features of the NETpodium rack system resulting in a solution that minimises footprint and maximises infrastructure flexibility for the Data Center manager.
The result is a Mixed Media Platform with high Rack Efficiency (RE) where rack efficiency is the ratio of percentage of available space used to the amount of usable space within the rack envelope.
Universal Connectivity Platform
The Universal Connectivity Platform (UCP) is a range of connectivity hardware that combines the benefits of modular connectivity with significant space savings by using a standardised fitting and by exploiting previously unusable areas of the racks and frames.
By allowing the mixing of copper and fibre connectivity in the same 19" rack unit (1RU) the Universal Connectivity Platform maximises Rack Efficiency (RE) through better utilisation of rack space and by exploiting available rack space outside of the traditional 19" envelope - but within the overall rack dimensions.
NETpodium
The NETpodium rack system provides the cable management necessary for the Copper and Fiber intensive areas of today's data centers. This innovative enclosure can accept 45 1HU patch panels, is equipped with 2 large vertical cable attachment ducts to store and attach Copper and Fiber cables. The use of the newly designed cable managers provides complete bend radius protection at every turn to ensure network performance and reliability.
