New Product line up to 41 kV with 10 kA screened surge arresters
The new Raychem screened, separable surge arrester RSTI-SA-10 up to 41 kV for IEC markets, are designed for bushing type “C” and come in two different “T”- shaped versions depending on type of connection method required. One version is designed for single connection, which means direct mounting onto the bushing. The second version fits to the rear end of our base screened connector RSTI-68xx.

At the beginning of December, the 2010 OSCE Summit (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) took place at the Astana Congress Hall in Astana, Kazakhstan, with political leaders from all over Europe attending. Earlier in November, construction work damaged four of six 110 kV power cables that led to the substation that supplies power to the Astana Congress Hall. Thanks to two in-stock joints from TE, the installation crew restored one line quickly. For a reliable electrical power supply the installation crew needed five additional joints. With exceptional commitment from EMEA Sales Management and our High Voltage Cable Accessories Product Management teams, we were able to solve lead-time issues and supply five joints in time to complete the project. The cable line was tested and commissioned a success. Our responsiveness to the situation was highly appreciated by the local utility management and the OCSE Summit of 2010 was able to proceed as planned without any energy issues.
