DiscoverE Announces 2014 New Faces of Engineering Honorees
DiscoverE announces the 2014 New Faces of Engineering honorees. This class includes 13 emerging young professionals innovating solutions in energy, technology, water resources, national security and the environment. Many have gone on to launch global businesses and NGOs. This year, for the first time, the program is underwritten by anchor sponsor TE Connectivity.
TE Connectivity Ltd. announced that it has been named to the 2013 Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index, marking TE's second year on this globally recognized corporate social responsibility index.
We believe that building a great company requires many things, including a deep understanding of the needs of our customers and our markets; the delivery of competitive and high quality products and services, and strong operational performance.
It is important that we focus our corporate responsibility efforts on those issues where we can have the greatest impact. For this reason, during 2011 we undertook a “materiality analysis” to identify the corporate responsibility issues of greatest significance to both TE and to the broader communities in which we operate.
