SHANGHAI, China –December 6, 2012 –TE Connectivity (TE) has extended its PCB (printed circuit board) connector product family that meets RAST standard to further support most industrial and appliances safety standards. With the expanded portfolio covering several sizes, colors, footprint layouts and plating, TE's new PCB connectors are particularly ideal for wire-to-board connections and control-units of major appliances and other applications.

These product additions allow us to offer our clients a more optimized product portfolio and more flexible solutions, so that they are better prepared to meet the diversified needs in the appliances market."
The 5mm-pitch PCB connectors that meet RAST 5 standard come with two to eight positions and three footprint layouts. The 2.5mm-pitch PCB connectors that meet RAST 2.5 standard are available in 3 to15 positions, 1 footprint layout and external and internal locking types. Both models also offer choices of tin or silver plating, several different colors and various configurations of keying for customization needs to save cost.
