TE.com Cookie Usage

TE Connectivity uses cookies to enhance your experience on our website. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your computer or mobile device.  We store information in these text files as you navigate our website.  Only TE Connectivity can retrieve and use the information we place in these files.

You can learn more about cookies and how to manage them by accessing your browser’s Help feature.  You may also visit www.allaboutcookies.org for very detailed information on what cookies are, how they are used, and how you can manage them.

You can disable all cookies or certain types of cookies through your browser settings.  However, if you do this, there will be some features of our website that will not function properly.

These are the types of cookies used on TE.com.

Session Cookies

Session cookies are created when you visit our website.  Session cookies identify your browsing session and allow our servers to communicate back and forth to your computer or mobile device as you navigate our site. Session cookies are extremely important if you sign into our website and access secure applications.  If you do not allow session cookies, you will not be able to sign into our website and access secure applications.

Session cookies are only needed for the length of your browsing session and are deleted automatically when you end the session.

Persistent Cookies

Persistent cookies are text files that are stored on your computer or mobile device in between browser sessions.  Mostly, these cookies are used to remember your preferences, to personalize your experience, and to remember information that you provided so that you do not have to re-enter this information every time you visit with us.  For example, if you choose a language option, we will remember that choice.  The next time you visit our website, the screens will display in your chosen language.  If you choose to view 40 display items on a screen, we will remember that choice for the next time that you visit.  Many times we provide the option of saving information so that you do not need to provide us with the same information over and over again.

Persistent cookies remain on your computer or mobile device for longer than a browsing session and have varying expiration dates, upon which, the cookie is deleted.  Only the TE.com domain that has created the cookie can access the information stored in it.

Third Party Cookies

A First Party cookie is a cookie created by the TE.com domain.  A Third Party cookie is a cookie that is set by another domain while you are browsing our website.  We sometimes partner with other companies to provide functionality or to supply a service for our website.  Our partners’ products may exist outside of the TE.com domain and their products may use cookies to function properly.  These Third Party cookies will contain the information needed to execute the functionality or to supply the service for which we engaged the partner.

If you block Third Party cookies, most of our website will work without a problem.  However, we do not recommend blocking these cookies as some functionality and services will not work correctly without them.

Flash Cookies

We sometimes imbed Flash videos and animation into our website. Typically, Adobe Flash stores information on your computer or mobile device in a Local Shared Object cookie, more commonly known as a “Flash cookie”.  The stored information is typically used to remember your Flash settings and preferences.  These cookies cannot be managed through your browser.  You can find out more information about Flash cookies and access Flash management tools by going to Adobe’s website.
